Hello and welcome to my blog, an account of our sail around Great Britain during 2015 and 2016. The sail is being undertaken by my friend Roger and I, and with friends who wish to sail either part of the way or all of the way with us. We are using the voyage as a means of raising funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. We are keen to hear from anyone who is interested in the project, and anyone who wishes to join the crew. I do hope you enjoy following the blog. Michael.

Knot Toys
Many thanks to Rachel Alexander at Knot Toys who has donated a prize for our draw that is being organised. Please see a picture of the prize donated below! Pretty as the real Blue Star! (But not quite as expensive!). Thank you Rachel! Very much appreciated!

Can you see it?
Can you see it on the table below......? Impressive eh?
No? No, I can't see it either!
Diane seems to have 'tidied away' one of my most prized possessions! No doubt it is in some remote corner of the house somewhere. I suppose I could get it out again when she isn't looking. I'm talking about my SCCC Sailor of the Year award of course! You can see it in my posting of 15 March.
I guess that's where I'll have to look to see it again too!

Just thought I'd mention...
It was the annual dinner and prize giving for Stafford Coastal Cruising Club members last night. I just happened to come away with the Sailor Of The Year trophy......not that I want to brag or appear immodest....but I thought I should mention it....:-)

Aarrhhh! There be a few places left for fightin' men!
There are still a few places left on the crew schedule for 2015, so if you are still thinking about it, stop! Just choose which week you want to sail and let me know. You don't have to be completely nuts, but if you are it will probably help a lot, and you will fit in easily with the rest of the crew!

Radio....radio....!!!
Just done a couple of radio 'phone-in' interviews about the Blue Star GB Challenge. There was a preliminary discussion with radio Stoke, likely to be broadcast in short news items, ahead of a live interview at the studio on Tuesday morning around 0900 hrs. Then there was a second live 'phone-in' interview with Stafford Radio (internet radio). I hope this all sounds OK! Hopefully there will be lots of follow up reports broadcast during our big sail!
